Happy Really Late New Year!!

Thursday, January 21, 2016

Happy New Year!!
okay, I know I'm a little late..But I wanted to bring you the best of me in the new year.
As I brainstormed on what to write about.. I kept drawing a blank... losing weight, done that, saving money, done that. Every resolution has been filled with empty promises that were soon forgotten about come February. So this year my focus.... Be a better me. My goal is to take one step everyday that makes my life better, happier, easier and more fulfilling. I'll be working on several things that cause me to be a better me.

Looking for inspiration.... TED talks, I have been totally immersed in them for the last few months. There are talks about every thing you can imagine. Here and here are two of my most recent favorites and these are super funny....

These are what has encouraged me to spend this year being the best me. These talks have encouraged me to live my dreams and believe the sky is the only limit.

God did not create us to be average he created us in his image.... so average is not an option.

What will you be working on this year??

Okay, Okay Let me Explain!!

Friday, November 27, 2015

So I have been on a short, okay long hiatus, I promise it was not intentional. I guess I never thought anyone would notice... but guess what? People did.

I had a great but busy summer with the boys.
We went swimming...

lost our first tooth...

took a vacay...

Hung out with my love...
turned 3...

So here's what else has kept me so busy...

After nine years of teaching I was plucked from my nice, warm comfortable spot and dropped into a whole new world! Not to mention, I had to pack nine years of stuff with only a few weeks notice (and I'm still not done). Luckily, I work with a great group of people who have helped me get adjusted.
Change is good, or at least that's what they say. It has been challenging but I am resilient and so I press on.

And...I have also been working diligently to start a new business. I thought moving into a new grade was scary but this has been one of the most frightening things I've ever done.
We've been organizing and planning events all summer and beefing up our portfolio. I'm excited to say that our site will be up soon (I promise you guys will be the first to know) and I can't wait to get to work.  Entrepreneurship is so scary and exciting but mostly scary.

When God wants you to grow, he makes you uncomfortable! (Guess  I'm 'bout to get big and strong!)

Saying Goodbye... Hello Summer Break !

Monday, May 11, 2015

As most of you know I am a teacher. I work with a lot of really great people so I wanted to say goodbye (for the summer) to my peps. Here are two mini projects me and my buddy Crystal put together.

This was for our great friend Mark, who was sadly, moving to another grade. Mark is the world's biggest comic book fan.

These were 8 oz Mt. Dew bottles that came in different colors and flavors. We used black card stock and printable cupcake toppers to create the labels. Get the toppers here. This took forever because Mark kept coming in the room and we had to, rudely, keep kicking him out :)  We're really gonna miss that guy!

I snagged these teas for one of our custodians, who loves this stuff. I bought 4 teas, I used a large rubber band to secure them together.

Next, I tied a cute ribbon around the whole thing, being sure to cover the rubber band. Crystal came up with the idea, to put the plates underneath them. and we topped them off with a cute tag.
As I say goodbye to my dear friends,
I say hello summer, I'm so glad you're here!!

Dial Baby Body+Hair Wash & Dial Kids Foaming Hand Wash Review +GIVEAWAY!!

Thursday, April 23, 2015

I am so excited to tell you guys about Dial Baby Body + Hair Wash and Dial Kids Foaming Hand Wash and my first ever GIVEAWAY!! As a Purex Insider I was given this product for free for my 100% honest review.

Body+ Hair Wash

My boys have had a great time using the Dial Baby Body + Hair Wash even my big baby has enjoyed it. The first thing Daniel said was, "Momma, bubbles!" He was so excited. David was excited because the bubbles lasted a long time.  Compared to some other brands, the bubbles did last a long time, that was the most important thing to David, hands down.

The baby wash is unscented but I really wish it had a little bit of a smell. The wash is tear-free which made hair washing easy.

Foaming Hand Wash

We really like this! My boys love to play in the mud, and just get plain filthy so the larger size pump was perfect for their grubby little hands. It has a sweet just bathed smell.

Wanna try these products for free keep reading..

Welcome to my first giveaway!! I am giving away 2 coupons for One Free Dial Kids Foaming Hand Wash or One Free Dial Baby Body + Hair Wash. This giveaway will last for only 24 hours. 100% Pure Peppermint Essential Oil Review

Sunday, April 19, 2015

I've never used any essential oils before so I didn't know what to do with it when I was selected to review goPure's 100% Pure Peppermint Essential Oil. I received this item for free in exchange for my 100% honest opinion. This oil comes with a cap and a dropper which makes it very convenient. The bottle is also really big
(4 oz.) and of course you don't need to use much. If you use too much the peppermint smell can be overwhelming but, in moderation, it's perfect.

I was not really sure what to use the oil for so I tried it in several ways.
1. Message oil-I mixed it with 100% coconut oil  and used it as message oil. Worked great!
2. Laundry- I used it in a load of laundry, it gave my clothes and my front load washer a lovely smell.
3. Headache relief- It's said that if you rub a little on your temples during a headache that it will relieve it.
Surprisingly, It actually worked on me!
4. Foot soak-I also used in my foot soak recipe, my feet were soft and pepperminty afterwards.
5. "I missed" spray- If you have little boys you know exactly what this means.
6. Ant spray-I mixed a little in a spray bottle with water and sprayed it in some areas outside my house.

I think I am turning into the peppermint lady, because I have been using it for everything!!

100% Argon Oil

I was selected to review goPure's 100% Pure Argan Oil. I received this item for free in exchange for my honest opinion. This oil comes with a cap and a dropper which makes it very convenient. The bottle is also really big (4 oz.) and of course you don't need to use much. It does have a bit of a funny smell but it was quite moisturizing to my skin. I really was not sure what to use the argon oil for, most of the uses I found were for skin care treatment. So I tried it I used on my skin and in a foot soak, it really helped my dry (still in winter mode) feet.

Some of the uses for Argan oil are:
1.Ache treatment
2.Cuticle and heel softener
3.Bath and Body Oil
6.Strengthens and tangles hair
and a ton of other benefits.

What I love about goPure products is that they are always 100% natural, safe and not tested on animals. You can trust that what is listed on the bottle is what is actually IN the bottle. You can read  reviews and find goPure products here, here and here.Try it out and enjoy!!
