Pirate Party!

Wednesday, June 19, 2013

When my son David turned 4 we had two parties, Super Trey's Super Hero Party and a Pirate Party at, Great Wolf Lodge, an indoor water-park.

We celebrated his birthday at a resort that featured an indoor water park. Yeah, you know the one, super expensive! Luckily, I had some great friends who wanted to enjoy the resort with their families too.
We reserved a suite, which was plenty of room for all 11 of us.
This party was my most frugal to date ( not including my part of the hotel fee).

I purchased all the supplies at Walmart in the $1.00 party section (one of my favorite spots) and the Dollar Tree.

I made the cupcakes at home and brought them along with us in the car.I used a scrap-booking program to create these personalized cupcake flags.

I had red plates left over from Christmas and Party hats left over from a pirate party I hosted last year for Fisher Price, so when I spotted the cheap pirate party supplies in the dollar section I snagged them up.

I also made a quick stop at the Dollar Tree and picked up these cute cups. I customized them with each child's name (using my cricut) and some scrap-booking paper. I also found red drawstring backpacks that I used instead of party bags. These bags worked out great for carrying our wet clothes after leaving the water-park.

I made this door sign, using my scrapbook program. When the kids came back from the water-park this sign was hanging on the door. They were so excited!

These pirates had a "matey" good time!!
