Here's What We're Eating this week!

Monday- Onion Soup Turkey Burgers and Baked Garlic Fries
Tuesday-Chili Cheese Tatar Tot Casserole
Wednesday-Weight Watchers Sloppy Joe's
Thursday- Taco Salad
Friday- Chili Dogs
Saturday-Calzone
Sunday-Orange Chicken and Rice

Monday: Onion Soup Turkey Burgers and Baked Garlic Fries
This is an easy and quick favorite at my house.

What you need :
One package onion soup mix
1 lb ground turkey
1 egg

In a large bowl break up the uncooked ground turkey.
Break one egg into the ground turkey until well mixed.
Pour one package of onion soup mix into the ground turkey and egg mixture. Add extra seasonings if desired.
Form ground turkey into patties.
In a greased baking pan place patties in a single layer.
Bake at 350 until well done.

Baked Garlic Fries

Tuesday-Chili Cheese Tatar Tot Casserole

Wednesday:Weight Watchers Southern Barbecue Sloppy Joe's
I have not seen this recipe anywhere on the internet. It comes from Weight Watchers CookitQuick book published in 2002.

Southern Barbecue Sloppy Joe's
What you need:
1 tbsp canola oil
2 chopped onions
1 chopped bell pepper
2 cloves garlic ( I used garlic powder or refrigerated garlic) 
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp chili powder
1 lb ground skinless turkey breast(I used ground turkey)
1 cup ketchup
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 tsp salt
6 hamburger buns

In a large non-stick skillet, heat the oil.
saute the onions, garlic and bell peppers until softened,about 5 minutes.
Stir in cumin and chili powder;when  the vegetables are coated with the spices, stir in turkey meat: cook breaking meat apart with a wooden spoon,3 minutes. Add the ketchup,brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and salt; cook until sauce is slightly thickened and turkey is cooked through, 4-5 minutes. Toast the buns, if desired and top with turkey mixture.

Thursday:Taco Salad
This is my typical taco salad recipe add in or take out what you wish

What you need:
1 package taco seasoning or make your own
1 lb ground beef/turkey
taco salad refrigerated shells
lettuce
tomatoes
onions 
sour cream
shredded cheese

Cook ground beef/turkey. Add taco seasonings.

Friday: Chili Dogs
I use Hormel turkey chili but you can use any brand

1 can chili
1 package hot dogs
shredded cheese
onions
hot dog buns 
Boil chili. Boil or grill hot dogs. Done!

Saturday-Calzone

Sunday-Orange Chicken and Rice
