Okay, Okay Let me Explain!!

Friday, November 27, 2015

So I have been on a short, okay long hiatus, I promise it was not intentional. I guess I never thought anyone would notice... but guess what? People did.

I had a great but busy summer with the boys.
We went swimming...

lost our first tooth...

took a vacay...

Hung out with my love...
turned 3...

So here's what else has kept me so busy...

After nine years of teaching I was plucked from my nice, warm comfortable spot and dropped into a whole new world! Not to mention, I had to pack nine years of stuff with only a few weeks notice (and I'm still not done). Luckily, I work with a great group of people who have helped me get adjusted.
Change is good, or at least that's what they say. It has been challenging but I am resilient and so I press on.

And...I have also been working diligently to start a new business. I thought moving into a new grade was scary but this has been one of the most frightening things I've ever done.
We've been organizing and planning events all summer and beefing up our portfolio. I'm excited to say that our site will be up soon (I promise you guys will be the first to know) and I can't wait to get to work.  Entrepreneurship is so scary and exciting but mostly scary.

When God wants you to grow, he makes you uncomfortable! (Guess  I'm 'bout to get big and strong!)

Saying Goodbye... Hello Summer Break !

Monday, May 11, 2015

As most of you know I am a teacher. I work with a lot of really great people so I wanted to say goodbye (for the summer) to my peps. Here are two mini projects me and my buddy Crystal put together.

This was for our great friend Mark, who was sadly, moving to another grade. Mark is the world's biggest comic book fan.

These were 8 oz Mt. Dew bottles that came in different colors and flavors. We used black card stock and printable cupcake toppers to create the labels. Get the toppers here. This took forever because Mark kept coming in the room and we had to, rudely, keep kicking him out :)  We're really gonna miss that guy!

I snagged these teas for one of our custodians, who loves this stuff. I bought 4 teas, I used a large rubber band to secure them together.

Next, I tied a cute ribbon around the whole thing, being sure to cover the rubber band. Crystal came up with the idea, to put the plates underneath them. and we topped them off with a cute tag.

As I say goodbye to my dear friends,
I say hello summer, I'm so glad you're here!!

Thursday, April 23, 2015

I am so excited to tell you guys about Dial Baby Body + Hair Wash and Dial Kids Foaming Hand Wash and my first ever GIVEAWAY!! As a Purex Insider I was given this product for free for my 100% honest review.

Body+ Hair Wash

My boys have had a great time using the Dial Baby Body + Hair Wash even my big baby has enjoyed it. The first thing Daniel said was, "Momma, bubbles!" He was so excited. David was excited because the bubbles lasted a long time.  Compared to some other brands, the bubbles did last a long time, that was the most important thing to David, hands down.

The baby wash is unscented but I really wish it had a little bit of a smell. The wash is tear-free which made hair washing easy.

Foaming Hand Wash

We really like this! My boys love to play in the mud, and just get plain filthy so the larger size pump was perfect for their grubby little hands. It has a sweet just bathed smell.

Wanna try these products for free keep reading..

100% Pure Peppermint Essential Oil Review

Sunday, April 19, 2015

I've never used any essential oils before so I didn't know what to do with it when I was selected to review goPure's 100% Pure Peppermint Essential Oil. I received this item for free in exchange for my 100% honest opinion. This oil comes with a cap and a dropper which makes it very convenient. The bottle is also really big
(4 oz.) and of course you don't need to use much. If you use too much the peppermint smell can be overwhelming but, in moderation, it's perfect.

I was not really sure what to use the oil for so I tried it in several ways.
1. Message oil-I mixed it with 100% coconut oil  and used it as message oil. Worked great!
2. Laundry- I used it in a load of laundry, it gave my clothes and my front load washer a lovely smell.
3. Headache relief- It's said that if you rub a little on your temples during a headache that it will relieve it.
Surprisingly, It actually worked on me!
4. Foot soak-I also used in my foot soak recipe, my feet were soft and pepperminty afterwards.
5. "I missed" spray- If you have little boys you know exactly what this means.
6. Ant spray-I mixed a little in a spray bottle with water and sprayed it in some areas outside my house.

I think I am turning into the peppermint lady, because I have been using it for everything!!

100% Argon Oil

I was selected to review goPure's 100% Pure Argan Oil. I received this item for free in exchange for my honest opinion. This oil comes with a cap and a dropper which makes it very convenient. The bottle is also really big (4 oz.) and of course you don't need to use much. It does have a bit of a funny smell but it was quite moisturizing to my skin. I really was not sure what to use the argon oil for, most of the uses I found were for skin care treatment. So I tried it I used on my skin and in a foot soak, it really helped my dry (still in winter mode) feet.

Some of the uses for Argan oil are:
1.Ache treatment
2.Cuticle and heel softener
3.Bath and Body Oil
4.Conditioner
5.Moisturizer
6.Strengthens and tangles hair
and a ton of other benefits.

What I love about goPure products is that they are always 100% natural, safe and not tested on animals. You can trust that what is listed on the bottle is what is actually IN the bottle. You can read  reviews and find goPure products here, here and here.Try it out and enjoy!!

Spider-man Party Mini

Saturday, April 11, 2015

My sweet little boy just turned 6, time flies... This year we took him on a mini-vacay so we did a very small classroom party. Since his vacay was a little pricey I did this party on shoestring.

I usually make cupcakes but since I didn't have the time, I ordered these from my local Walmart. Instead of paying an extra $13 for the spider-man kit I made my own custom toppers. I also purchased cups and plates at Walmart for .98, I bought 2 of each. I also bought 1 package of spider-man napkins for 2.00.
Cupcakes: $12
Cups,plates & juice:$10

I made these really cheap spider man mask from a template I found on Pinterest. I used felt, elastic cord and a sharpie to make these. The felt was a $3 remnant, the cords were .98, I used two.
Mask: 25 for $5

Since my baby's birthday is in March we bought Valentine's candy when it went on clearance at Walmart, and we use that to fill his treat bags. I also bought some small dollar store toys. Bags:$3 for 20,less than$5 for candy and toys.
Thank You Bags:$8.

Party Grand Total=$35
or
$1.75 per kid!

This guy had a great birthday party!
and his birthday vacay... well it was a blast too!

Body Merry 2.5% Retinol Surge Moisturizer

Thursday, April 9, 2015

I'm loving my Body Merry Retinol Surge Moisturizer. I was asked to review this product. I will say I was quite a skeptic because I have been using my current moisturizer for most of my adult life. I was not expecting to like this product mostly because I was sure I was using the best product on the market. I guess I was proven wrong.

My face stays moisturized all day and it also works great under make-up. The pump is great because it won't allow you to waste too much of the product.A little actually goes a long way. Also when you receive the moisturizer there will be a little cap in the hole where the the moisturizer comes out. REMOVE IT! It took me like 2 days to realized that I had to pull it out. I thought it was broken and complained about the "broken" cap every time I used it!  I still liked it  "broken" cap and all.  I like this product better than the really expensive one I was using before I found this product. I've been using Body Merry Retinol Surge Moisturizer everyday since I got it. I love it!! #SP

DIY Glitter Letters

For weeks I've been inspired by all of these fancy EAT signs, so I decided to make my own. You guys know my favorite medium is spray paint but I wanted something a little fancier than that this time. I wanted my letter to have a cute, fancy pattern on them and why not add a little sparkle.

This was one of the most simple and quickest projects I've done in quite a while. I bought these really cheapo thick cardboard letters at Hobby Lobby when that we're on sale, of course. At the same time I noticed the scrapbook paper was also on sale. So I searched for the perfect paper and finally found something that would match my kitchen perfectly.

First, I painted the edges of the cardboard letters black.

Then, I placed my cardboard letter on my scrapbook paper and traced around each one with a sharpie.
Next, I cut out each of the letters scrapbook paper letters and hot glued them to their matching cardboard letters.

Enjoy,

GoPure Coconut Oil Review

Tuesday, March 31, 2015

I was totally excited to receive my first ever product to review! I was selected to try GoPure's 100% Coconut Oil. First thoughts "That's a huge 16 oz bottle! "So I've used the oil for about 15 days and I am loving it!  I've used it on my skin. It absorbs well and left my skin felling light and silky. A small amount goes a looong way. I've used it everyday and I've even tried it on my hair. I also used it on my son who is sensitive to certain lotions and baby washes, No breakouts for him! The bottle says you can used it as a base for mixing other essential oils so I am going to try that next! So I like it! You can find it on amazon and you can find GoPure on Facebook.#SP#

5 Snow Day Activities

Thursday, March 5, 2015

My little darlings were out of school yesterday and now were on day two. You know you can only watch so many movies, so here are a few ways to keep them busy.

Snow Ball shooters- we tried this yesterday, it was really fun. All you need is a balloon , Styrofoam or plastic disposable cups and cotton balls.

Make Play dough- My kids love play dough, this guarantees you at least one hour of freedom! There are tons of recipes out there but I think this one is best. Feel free to skip the cream of tarter, I always do, it still turns out great.

Build a fort- Build a monster fort!

Make Snow Ice Cream-
This is tasty and easy to make, but who knows what's in snow these days. I have had it real real snow... we survived.   If you are still not sure use a snow cone machine or a your blender.

TP bowling-
We used 3 empty Pringles cans and a roll of toilet paper. You could use empty cans,or bottles. We all loved it.

Enjoy,
